CMDCM Jeffery Flemming

Master Chief Flemming is a native of Omaha, Ne. He enlisted in the US Navy in July of 1993. He completed EM “A” School in December of 1993. He served his first sea tour onboard USS NITRO (AE-23) from 1993-1995. Upon decommissioning of the USS NITRO he reported onboard the USS MERRIMACK (AO-179) until July of 1997. He was honorably discharged from the Navy in July of 1997. Master Chief enlisted again in the US Navy in February of 2000. He served aboard the USS GERMANTOWN (LSD-42) from 2000-2002. He then reported to USS CONSTELLATION (CV-64) from 2002 until her decommissioning in 2003. He then finished out his sea time by reporting onboard the USS NIMITZ (CVN-68) from 2003-2004. His first shore tour was at CNE Great Lakes as an instructor for Basic Engineering Common Core (BECC) from 2004-2007. Following his first shore tour he reported to the USS BOXER (LHD-4) from 2007-2013. His second shore tour was at Commander Naval Surface Group Middle Pacific from 2013-2016. He was assigned to the USS HOPPER (DDG-70) as the 3M Coordinator from 2016-2019. Following his tour as 3MC he reported to Commander Naval Surface Group Middle Pacific from 2019-2021. Master Chief was selected to the CSEL program in February 2021 and reported onboard USS 
SAMPSON (DDG-102) in March 2021 as the Command Master Chief. In January 2024, he assumed the duties as Command Master Chief, Naval Station Everett. 

Master Chief Flemming is a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 216 Brown) in Newport, R.I. His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement 
Medal (eight awards), and numerous campaign awards. He is qualified to wear the Enlisted Surface Warfare and Enlisted Aviation Warfare insignias. He is a certified Master Training Specialist (MTS) and Afloat Training Specialist (ATS).
