Exercise Citadel Protect 2022

Exercise Citadel Protect 2022 small boat attach training with USS John Paul Jones
Naval Station Everett completed Exercise Citadel Protect 2022, with a unique training opportunity for the base and homeported destroyer USS John Paul Jones. In this exercise, the base and ship practiced an integrated response to a small boat attack with the ship, harbor security boat, and small attack boat using blank rounds. This tactical port security exercise provides valuable, realistic training for the Navy installation to protect ships from potential threats. The base coordinated with Navy Region Northwest and Commander Navy Installations Command for six months to plan and execute this exercise, giving the team a chance to see how well they perform together.
