OUR MISSION

End State
To support and safely execute ordnance handling evolutions in an efficient and comprehensive manner while being fiscally keen and environmentally aware in order to support the Fleet, the Department of Defense, and our Foreign Partners.

Mission
Safe execution of ordnance handling is the priority; no faster nor slower than the procedures every time. Our team provides a crucial service to a wide range of customers and we must be meticulous and efficient during all evolutions. Support functions must be aligned to help streamline and provide the most cost effective methods to maintain the capability. The Indian Island team must be the best at what we do and prove it each and every day.

Safety
Every teammate is critical to the continued success of Indian Island. Risk management must be built into everything we do at work and in our daily lives. Take the time to assess the risks of the activity and the operational environment. I charge every team member to never hesitate to pause or slow down an evolution to ensure personnel and equipment safety.

Integrity
Building trust is fundamental in continuing our culture of excellence and increase our team cohesion. Conducting accurate self-assessments, where the good and the bad need to be reported, are critical for continued improvements.
