PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT WHIDBEY ISLAND

Public Works Department (PWD) Whidbey Island is responsible for the planning, design, construction, maintenance and repair of all roads, grounds, utilities and facilities, and management of environmental programs at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island.
The PWD team administers construction contracts, the North Sound Base Operating Support Contract (BOSC) and oversees the grounds maintenance and janitorial services contract. Additionally, the PWD team serves as a liaison between the contractors and the station’s client.

PWD executes its mission through four main divisions:

Production Division
Environmental Division

There are two distinct areas of responsibility for the services offered at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island: PWD and BOSC.
